Once you receive your locks, you need to activate them on the LockVue platform before you are able to use them in the mobile app.
Activating and managing your locks is done from the My Locks page of the LockVue Web Portal.
This article will show you how to:
Activate locks onto a registered LockVue account
Edit details of locks that an account is Owner of, or has Admin permission to
Activating a Lock
To activate a lock, log in to LockVue with the account that you would like to be the Owner of the locks and navigate to the Locks page. If you haven't created an account yet please register for an account. See Registering for a LockVue account.
Use the left menu to navigate to the Locks page and click the 'Activate' button near the top right of the page.
In the Activate your Lock pop up, enter the serial number and create a name for the lock, then click activate.
Once a lock is successfully activated, you will receive an email from [email protected].
You will need to complete this process for each lock that you wish to activate to the account.
For large numbers of locks, contact our support team via Submit a request for assistance.
The lock owner has final responsibility for the locks.
After Lock Activation
Once a lock is activated, you will be able to:
Unlock it via the LockVue mobile app
Share access to others using the Share system
Add to a Lock Group
Editing Lock Details
Lock details can be edited from the locks page. Currently editable options are:
Lock Name
Lock offline mode
Editing Lock Details
To edit a lock's details navigate to the Locks page on the LockVue web portal and find the lock. Use the filter fields and column sort to help if needed.
Once you've found the lock in question, click the pencil icon at far right (hide the extra information slide out if needed).
Then in the popup window you can change the name and/or toggle offline mode. Make sure to click Save Changes when done.
