The Noke HD Padlock has five shackle options available.
Changing a shackle requires using the LockVue mobile app to perform a Shackle Remove operation.
This operation can only be performed by the lock Owner or users with Admin or Maintenance permission.
Checking your Access
Users with certain permission levels can access certain lock functions. You can check this in both the LockVue web portal and the mobile app.
LockVue Web Portal:
Using a web browser, navigate to go.lockvue.com and login using your email and password
From the left side menu, select My Locks and find the lock in question
Once you've found the lock, check the Permission column. The following permissions are required to be able to perform the Remove Shackle function:
- Owner
- Admin
- Maintenance
LockVue Mobile App
If you haven't already, download and install the LockVue mobile app from your app store
Login to the LockVue mobile app and navigate to the My Access tab
Find the lock and tap on the calendar icon to see your access level
Changing the Shackle
Ensure that you have your spare shackle available.
For the 8mm and 6mm diameter shackles you will need the supplied adaptor available too.
Open the LockVue mobile app, login with an authorised account and ensure you are on the 'Find & Unlock' tab
Wake the HD Padlock and perform the shackle remove option
Android: Tap and hold the lock until you see the Shackle Remove prompt and confirm the action.
iOS: Swipe left on the lock to reveal the Shackle Remove option, then tap on Shackle Remove.
Watch our Noke HD Padlock - Quick Start video for this in action
The light on the bottom of the lock will flash a green/white and you will be able to pull out the shackle
If required, insert the shackle adaptor into the shallow hole of the padlock body
With the shackle adaptor facing down, line the notch up with the hole in the side of the padlock body.
Push adaptor all the way into the shallow hole
Insert the new shackle all the way and the lock will automatically secure it.
IMPORTANT: don't put the shackle in and immediately remove it, since the smart lock needs a second to secure the shackle
