Use the Teams feature of the LockVue web portal to group people in similar roles to give bunch permissions in one go. Once a user is added to a Team, you can give or revoke access to multiple users at the same time.

This page will cover:

  • Creating a team

  • Sharing team Access

  • Renaming teams

  • Managing members in a team

Creating a Team

Log in to the LockVue web portal and navigate to the the Teams page by selecting 'Teams' in the left side menu.

Select "New Team" at the top right and in the pop up, enter a name and description for the team, and select next.

On the second page of the pop up, add in members by entering their email and pressing the Enter key to add in each member. Once you've added all desired users, click next and done to finish. You can always add or remove members later.

Sharing Team Access

Access to Teams is managed in the teams sub menu. From this menu, you can rename, "Share as Admin", and view more details. You will only be able to view teams you have created (in green), and teams you are Admin of (red).

Share as Admin

A Team admin has permission to edit the team, and add and remove members. Note: "Share as Admin" will not make the user a member of the team. You can be both a member and an Admin of a team. To give another user Admin permission of a team, follow the steps below.

Click the three-dot menu of the team you want to share, and click the Share as Admin button. Enter the email and click Share.

Rename Team

You can modify a Team's name and description through the three-dot submenu.

Navigate to the Teams page, find the team that you'd like to modify, click the three dot submenu icon and select Rename.

Managing Team Members

To manage the members in a Team, select View Team from the three dot sub menu. This will load you to a screen that shows you a list current members.

Add members to the team by selecting Add Member near the top right. You can also Rename from there as well as Delete the entire team.

Deleting the team will revoke all permissions associated with the team and is not reversible.

Remove members from the team by selecting the rubbish bin icon. There will be a confirmation dialogue as this action will revoke all related permissions to that member and is not reversible.

View current permissions by selecting the Permissions tab. Note: permissions cannot be revoked from this screen. Revoke access to locks by deleting permissions from the Permissions tab.

If you need any further assistance please click "Submit Ticket" in the upper right corner of the page.
